When starting out as an Internet Marketer it is wise to reduce your
expenditure when you can.

Using free marketing tools will go some way in ensuring that you do not
blow your budget, free tools are not necessarily inferior to paid ones
although in most cases they do not have as many features but they are
getting better and better as developers are now seeing the advantage of
offering quality free tools as they can generate substantial amounts of
income through ad slots they provide in and around the site or on the
tools themselves.

1.) CamStudio for Video Screen Capture Marketing

Camtasia Studio is considered as one of the best video capturing tools
on the market but it is pricey ($299). Fortunately for you, there's an
open source product called CamStudio that allows you to make an endless
number of screen capture videos for free!

2.) GIMP for creating website graphics

Adobe Photoshop is one of the top graphic tools available on the market
but it an immense package and has a steep learning
curve if you want to master all of it's functionality, it also does not
come cheap also ($699).

GIMP stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program and it is a free easy to
use application which you can use to create your site graphics, it
comes with comprehensive documentation.

3.) WIX - Flash Website Design Tool

To design a Flash site is expensive if you go down the route of
employing a developer to design it for you. WIX is a free product that
enables you to easily design a Flash Website without the need for
programming, it allows you the facility to customize a ready
made template or make your own from scratch.

As with most free programmes there are drawbacks to using this
application, WIX ads will be placed on your site and your site domain
won't be your own dot com moniker, but when you have the funds you can
upgrade your account to remove the ads and use your own
domain.

4.) WordPress - Free Blog Software

Blogs are all the rage now and a great many marketers are creating
blogs for their businesses, amazingly some people till think they have
to pay for a WordPress blog. This is a misconception.

WordPress is completely free and can be installed from your domain
hosting company's control panel or by downloading it direct from the
WordPress website.

As you may be aware, WordPress is loved by Google and your blog can get
favourable ranking with the search engines if you post relevant content
on a regular basis.

5.) MailChimp - Free Autoresponder Tool
Aweber and Get Response are popular Mailist applications however they
incur a monthly outlay (min $18) which could be a tad expensive for
someone just starting out.

Mailchimp is a tool that will enable you to build and manage your Email
List and is great for those with no list or a very small list to begin
with. MailChimp is free for those with a list of up to 500 contacts and
you can send out up to 3,000 emails per month.

Is the Internet Marketing Niche Saturated?

You wouldn't be blamed if you came to the conclusion that the Internet
Marketing niche is saturated, you are constantly bombarded with tons of
`how to make money online' offers on a daily basis and there are
millions of websites and products focused on offering something related
to this niche.

To the newer Internet Marketer this can be quite intimidating and it
often scares them away, the statement - "There is no way I can make any
money here there is too much competition" is the usual excuse.

However this is not the right way to approach it, in any kind of
business there will be competition, the way to make it work for you is
to reinvent or otherwise make what you are offering unique.

In other words it is about putting your own stamp on a particular
business and convincing your potential customers that your product is
better than the others and if not better offers something different in
that it provides a solution to a previously unaddressed problem. It is
easier to find an unaddressed problem than you might think ......
Just look back at the countless guides you have bought and see where
some kind of information is lacking - would it be better with a step to
step approach with video guides?, was it comprehensive but too
laborious? does a lot of boring research work have to be done manually?

Could you find a better way of automating the tasks using tools? could
you reinvent an existing guide but this time improve upon it by adding
templates, videos, audio files, better tools to accompany it? or could
you expand on areas that are not clear or easy to follow or in some
cases not addressed?

Don't follow the crowd make your product more unique, if you are
thinking of starting a website you can add more information, videos and
graphics - get ghostwriters to write your content or rewrite the
content yourself to make it unique.

Some of the top Internet marketers endear themselves to their
subscribers by giving them lots of useful information and free tools as
opposed to the majority who bombard their subscribers with product
offer after product offer.

If you sit down and do a bit of research you will find out that a lot
of Internet Marketers are just making noise only a few really know what
they are doing and you could be one of the few.

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to make your mark as an
Internet Marketer in 2010 regardless of the niche you are interested in
and this is why:

There is always an opportunity to better what is already in existence,
there are better ways of explaining things, better tools available,
more research can be done, better content can be written.

Most of the crowd abandon ship after chasing the next quick way to be a
millionaire, the sure and steady way will not only guarantee you
success but also longevity in your business. If you don't go chasing
the get rich quick schemes and form a plan backed up with lots of
research you will do better than most.

As in most things in life you have to have the right attitude to
succeed, if you go in with the will and belief that you will succeed
then it will be a self fulfilling prophecy that you will succeed,
forget what the self proclaimed gurus say and ignore the competition,
have it in mind that you are entering this business to succeed and you
will.

There are a few successful and reputable Internet Marketers (not the
pie in the sky Millionaire- by- day type of Marketers!) whom you can
follow, you will find them by researching on them on the internet check
forums and blogs and see what people are saying about them or their
courses, it is best to learn from those who have a traceable track
record of success.

Outsourced Content or PLR - Your Choice?

The Introduction of private label rights (PLR) has offered marketers
with low budgets the opportunity to buy cheap affordable content that
they can use on their blogs or websites while the Marketers with
broader budgets who normally engage the services of private
ghostwriters to acquire their content have become conscious of the
increased competition this has caused.

PLR has been a savior to many marketers because of the low costs and
ready availability, a fully fleshed out 50-page eBook written by a
professional ghostwriter can cost $50 or less if you buy the private
label rights for this e-book you'll be able to slap your own name on
it, and market it for any price you want.

Ghostwriting fees are expensive and could run as high as $50 per page,
which means that the same 50-page eBook bought with PLR would cost
$2,500 to own if outsourced to a private freelancer. There are, of
course, perks that come with having your content ghostwritten as
opposed to purchased as PLR, for one you hold full rights to unique
content and can decide to sell multiple copies or give it away as bonus
content without any limitations.

The question is, will you be investing in private label rights - or
saving up for a private ghostwriter to create your courses this year ?
Perhaps the answer is both! You can use PLR as a cheap means to bring
traffic to your site where you are selling your ghostwritten eBook for
example.

A typical PLR bundle can provide you with all of the elements you need
to build an impressive list of targeted prospects. You can buy web
content, email autoresponder messages,social network content for
reports that serve as a viral freebie where you can hyperlink to your
paid product etc.

Regardless of whether you're using PLR or ghostwriters, you have to be
careful about how you spend your money. With both, you want top
quality. It doesn't make sense to have a budget set aside that only
allows you to purchase poorly written content - because the time you'll
have to invest in repairing it to make it viable for your promotions
will eat into your cost savings.

Let's say you had a budget of $500 to pay for the creation of a 50-page
eBook, and this budget meant that you would only be able to afford a
sub-par writer and let us say that it would have cost you $1000 to hire
a really good writer. Though you have saved $500 by choosing the sub
par writer option you would need to spend extra time tidying up the
poorly written ebook.

Now ask yourself how much is your time worth, if it takes you 3 days to
tidy up the ebook it means that you have spent 3 x 8 hours on the job
i.e 24 hours,it would only be worth your while tidying up the ebook if
your hourly wage is less than $21 . If you earn more then you have
worked yourself out of the $500 savings. If you'd spent that extra $500
and hired someone who delivered quality work, you'd be ready to roll
with your info product and your 24 hours could have been spent on other
marketing tasks to help you generate traffic and sales right away.

This same mindset can be applied to what you budget for PLR. Private
label rights won't replace outsourcing, there are numerous copies
available and therefore the content will not be unique, also a lot of
online PLR content are of poor quality, for both reasons there will be
a need for it to be rewritten. Marketers will still use both. And both
have their own advantages and disadvantages it boils down to a balance
between cost savings or the opportunity of having a unique product.

It is predicted that more PLR sites will pop up in 2010, giving
marketing consumers a wider selection of affordable content.

Year 2010 - Is This The Year that You'll Finally Succeed as an Internet
Marketer?

What has been preventing you from achieving the kind of success you've
always dreamed about? are you aware of what is hindering your financial
success? unfortunately not everyone is.

Some newbie marketers keep trying different methods indefinitely,
gradually running out of money until one day they eventually quit
trying and leave the Internet Marketing business frustrated and broke,
they subsequently resign themselves to the workforce and getting a
J-O-B to support their families. Another broken dream.

What you need to do this year is slow down, reassess your strategy,
select and focus on one idea at a time form a plan of attack and move
cautiously from here on out.

The first thing you have to do is quit any or all get rich quick
schemes. Most get rich schemes are designed mainly to make a quick buck
for the seller,they often entice you with well written sales letters
with stories telling you how they have been frustrated in Internet
Marketing up untill the time when they came across System X and now
they are making millions per day and if they can do it so can you! they
show you copies of their account statements (a lot are fake) pictures
of "me" on the beach, "me" beside my latest porsche, "me" eating caviar
on the moon etc all written to entice you into wanting their
lifestyle.

More often than not you will eventually discover that they will not
help you develop a substantial business of your own they are flaky
quickly created courses with very little substance and a lot of useless
filler. Anything that offers too good to be true promises (six figures
in 24 hours with no list, no experience and no start-up funds) should
be a red flag for you.

Don't be tempted anymore!. You need to prepare properly for this
journey spend more time and effort and treat it like a proper business,
you will be suprised that the rewards can be fantastic and far outweigh
the quick rich methods if it's done right, the benefits of the effort
you put in can be phenomenal and it does not matter whether you're 18
and just out of high school or a senior citizen entering retirement.

If you're still employed, it is advisable not to quit your job until
your Internet Marketing business is generating more income than your
present salary on a consistent basis. That way you won't be dealing
with the stress of having to find money to pay the bills and support
the family (this is when you're most likely to fall prey to Internet
Marketing scams).

When you do have a safety net i.e a steady paycheck from your Internet
Marketing business - you'll be able to slowly and cautiously make
decisions for your future online business endeavors, you could decide
to scale up your business or start another income stream it all depends
on you as a person what are your strengths? what are your interests?.

Do you love working one on one with people? A mentoring or coaching
business might suit you. Are you fond of writing and research? Consider
creating information products, are you a hands off kind of person or
you want to find time to do other things then consider outsourcing your
business.

Once you have assessed your strategy and have a written down vision of
what you want to do, go online and do research to find the best way to
learn how to do it, go to forums and ask questions about the seller or
the product,search for independent user reviews,don't just read a well
written sales copy and hit the order button - these guys hire the best
copywriters in order to convince you to buy their products , research
the seller's reputation, search for real independant reviews (where
there are no affiliate links) you owe it to yourself to do due
dilligence before spending you hard earned cash to see if the product
is worthy of your investment. And never spend more money than you can
afford.

As you learn, take baby steps in building your business the right way,
make it a point of duty to do something no matter how small on a daily
basis. Don't rush or you may skip an important component that could
make or break your online success.

Try to be focused and dont be distracted by the next amazing product
release, you owe it to yourself to be successful this year.
